I think,after playing these type of games,my pick is Jak and Daxter! I love this game! It kept you going with the storyline and humor. And it was challenging,but somewhat confusing.

"Save the world,stay furry........choices".

Another I'd say is probably the Metal Slug series,but that's more of a side-scroller. What do you think?

I'd say ICO, simply because it delivers an experince like no other.

Runner ups include:

Devil May Cry: Perfect control and high intensity action

Metal Gear Solid 2: Though Snake is still cooler, I really like to play as Raiden...it's the sword!

Conker's Bad Fur Day: One of the funniest games I've ever played, great challenge, excellent script, and fun multiplayer! (Of course, it might be better to consider it a platformer)

Oh, uh, MS is more of a shooter than an adventure game. For me, I'd probably say MGS. Sonic is more of a platformer, so...

I consider platformers adventure games, myself. The phrase " adventure game " could be applied to so many different things. And Eric, you've never played Castlevania???? 0_o Do you live in a bomb shelter, or something?? ^_^ Just teasing... if you haven't, get out and play one. Any one.

Yeah, with some genres it's hard to classify which games belong to which.

Dude, play Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for the Playstation or Saturn. It's the bomb... Okay, bad follow up to the shelter comment.

Anyhow, you get to play as Alucard, Dracula's son. It's not quite the typical Castlevania game, but it can be run of the mill if you play as Richter Belmont. Oh... Beware of any Castlevnia game that doesn't star a Belmont in some major role.

((Can anyone verify how much ass Castlevania 64 sucked? (; ))

I use to be big on Mario; but then I played a Megaman title and never looked back. I love going toe-to-toe with Robot Masters, Mavericks, Pirates, etc.
