WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!?!?
DOES ANYONE ELSE SEE HOW WRONG THIS IS?!?!?
1) Simon Belmont has a wife named Linda Erstwhile.
2) Sypha Fernandez/Belnades first appears in Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. She's trapped in a statue for God knows how long until Trevor Belmont frees her. It was believed that they got together and gave birth to the next Belmont offspring.
3) Dracula's Curse takes place three hundred years before the original Castlevania. Sypha would be in excess of three hundred years old if she were alive in Simon's time.
4) Christopher Belmont, Solyieu Belmont, Victor Belmont, there's a million billion Belmonts they could have used as the title character and it would have fit in just fine!
5) This is what happens when you take the Count of the title, the story is ruined. :p
Other than that Konami is at least upholding the tradition of naming the supporting characters after messed up versions of vampire mythos-related names. That depends on how you romanize the text though. ;)

Btw, that wasn't the worst error though. I wrote that Simon Belmont was in action in 1961. Yeah, he lived thorough WWII or something... That was fixed right together as well. I need to be more careful...
Btw, what happened to the Belmonts after the 1800s? It seems like they all got replaced by substitutes thereon. Nathan Graves, Reinhart Shneider, Johnny Moris... . .. was Richter impotent or something?

He was supposed to hook up with Maria, but she went with Alucard instead...and his girlfriend from Dracula X obviously ditched him since he wasn't man enough for her(she wasn't in SOTN).

Ha ha ha, Richter has a girlfriend. Her name is Anette. She's in Akumajo Dracula X; you have to rescue her ( as well as a young Maria and two other ladies ) from Dracula's grubby clutches. Oops, missed the second part of that... Ha ha ha, she was probably there, because Maria bothered to come looking for Richter. Maria is Anette's little sister.

Prof: Well the way it works is Quincy Morris turns out to be a distant Belmont descendant (meaning the family migrated to America some time before the 1900s). John Morris is his son and Bloodlines (the Genesis game he's in alongside Eric LeCarde) is set in 1918.
Also that bit about Ricther hooking up with Maria Renard is nonsense. She's his SISTER IN-LAW. He's MARRIED TO ANETTE RENARD, remember? ;)
Alucard's a dork, he was all badassed and evil in Dracula's Curse, then in SotN he has to find items and crap just to do stuff any REAL vampire hunter could do by default like getting items from candles. :D

To add to the previous post, remember there's a Belnades/Fernandez in the N64 Castlevania, and it's assumed (before this new "plot" at least) that Trevor Belmont and Sypha had a child together, so there is a Belmont link in the N64 games. I have no clue where Nathan Graves is supposed to fit in unless their master is Simon Belmont or something.
