Striker System -KOF99

     
The Striker 
One of the major changes in KOF99 is the new striker system. As noted in previous articles, characters have a number of attacks, some being quite unique. As shown above, in the case of Shingo, he has a grapple move as a striker, allowing the player to hit the opponent while they remain held and opened to attacks. 
 
 
 
 

Dodge Slide -KOF99

As noted Previously, KOF99 no longer has a "roll" executable with the AB button.  
In place, a new "dodge slide" is available, where the character slides while dodging, making them invincible to attacks during the motion (but not throws). Also, if the player dodge slides to the back, he/she will hop/slide forward right after, making the gameplay more agressive than in previous series. 
 
  
 
 
 

 

K'

  
K' (K Dash)   - Illust 
  
The new main character of KOF. A member of a clan only known as the Nesz (note: translated from japanese since English version of game is not released), Kyo Kusanagi's ability to use fire is implanted in K,. However as K' cannot fully control the power of flame, he wears a red custom glove. 

 
 

Maxima

K's partner. Thought to be also a member of the Nesz. His body is customized and operated for full power, and thus so he fights in a style which takes advantage of it.  
 

 
 
 
 
 
 

Whip

At age 16, Whip works as an expert informant. Although in a different team from Ralf and Clark, her abilities were well taken and sent into the team.  
 

 
 
 
 

Bao

A small child with great potential, Bao is a 12 year old boy who is quiet but bright and enthusiastic. 
 

 
 

Jhun Foon

  
Jhun Foon     - Illust 
  
Age 32, Jhun learned under the same dojo as Kim, and thus is a friend as well as rival. With a rather analytic personality, Jhun could not watch Kim trying to lead Chang and Choi hte rightous way, and thus jumped in.. "Kim, your methods are wrong. With my ways, I'll discipline such small-time criminals like Chang and Choi in no time. Watch and learn!!"

1- Kyo and Iori Confirmed to be in Game 
Kyo and Iori Have been confirmed to be in the game. The two characters can be revealed form the Sun and crecent symbol in the character select screen, both of which are under Kyo Version1 and Kyo Version2. 

Kyo 
Kyo has a new costume. He wears a white jacket (jeans?) with no sleeves over a black shirt with a cross, and white pants(jeans) with some tearing. Thus so, he is no longer in his student outfit (although the two clones- Ver 1 and Ver 2 appropriately are). 
Kyo burns his bandana in the match demo if selected as the first round's fighter. 
  
Iori 
Iori remains the same in costume, however his speed is close to Riot Iori than normal.  
Iori has a new move and new DM. He does not turn into Riot Iori in his SDM, like Leona's SDM form KOF98. 
  
  

2- Kensou lost Psycho power? 
Apparently Sie Kensou ha slost psychic ability in KOF99 for whatever given reason, and is thus why he can no longer shoot psychoballs.  
 

3- Benimaru Weakend 
No invincible anti-air attack, no dash/charge attack, no special throw, spin attack does not make opponents fall and thus gets countered even on a hit. While Benimaru's normal moves are well off, he has nevertheless have been weakend. 
  
  
4- Chang Learns to pick his nose 
Now in a new move, chang can pick his nose. 
Counters with a sneeze if hit while picking. 
  

4- Klizarid gets killed? 
After working for the Nesz clan and making clones, Klizarid fails his plan (due the players) in KOF99 and gets erased by his clasn to rid of evidence. However it has been reported that also in the ending, he gain conciouness again with loss of memory.
