An arcade that's a bit away from the main streets, GiGo Akihabara attracts the more casual croud that commute in that direction, as well as the Akiba crowds that go to have lunch at Mansei, the meat restaurant. 6 Floors, narrow.

Most Recommended Arcade in Akihabara

Together with Club Sega, Taito HEY (Hirose Entertainment Yard) is one of the landmark arcades in Akihabara. The store boasts a full offering of fighting games on the third floor and there's high competition regardless of day or night. The second floor specializes in shoot 'em ups and also attracts a crowd. The basement floor is Melon books, a doujinshi (fanart comic) shop. 3F, Wide.

Sega's third branch opened in February 2010, taking over the building once occupied by Sato Musen electronics. With its excellent location only meters away from the old annex Club Sega, the two buildings are literally sandwiching Taito HEY and putting pressure on the store. 6 Floors, Semiwide. The competition is lower than the other two arcades on the main street, so it's a good practice area.

The Super Potato chain store is best known as a vintage dealer, with branches in Akihabara and Ikebukuro for the Tokyo area. What some visitors may not know is that the Akihabara branch actually has a small arcade on the top floor, which offers a cozy atmosphere and a selection of vintage arcade games.

An old arcade located in the outskirts of Akihabara, FunFun is a convenient place for shoppers that mainly lurk around the Yodobashi Camera side of the commercial district. Operated by an arcade distributor, GM Shoji Corp.
Natsuge Museum

An utmost unique arcade that specializes in vintage games, Natsuge is probably the only place that has 70-80s' tabletop machines, old PC games, and non-electronic machines running for gameplay.

The store also sells vintage goods and CDs. Opened only on Friday nights (6-10PM) and the weekends after lunch break(1-10PMSat, 1-8PMSun&Holidays).
